Housing Initiatives

Lieutenant Governor Matos has made housing a top priority of her administration.

OUR VISION

To ensure that every Rhode Islander has a safe, affordable, and accessible place to live.

OUR MISSION

By bringing together housing experts, community advocates, and residents, we strive to address one of the greatest challenges facing our state: the lack of affordable housing at all levels. We work to achieve this by influencing public policy, recommending alternative solutions, advocating for the investment of public and private funds strategically to address the ongoing housing crisis, and continuing to shine a bright light on the systemic inequities of housing in our state.

Over the course of 2021, in partnership with Secretary of Commerce Stefan Pryor, we will be hosting a series of conversations that will lead and inform an in-person housing summit in the coming months.

You can view past virtual conversations in the drop-down menu on the right.
