Lieutenant Governor Matos oversees several programs that impact Rhode Islands' active-duty military personnel, veterans, those lost in service to our nation, and our Blue and Gold Star Families.

To ensure that our Rhode Island active-duty, veterans, and those lost in service to our country are honored and remembered every day.

OUR MISSION

We bring together our partners from the Rhode Island National Guard, the Rhode Island Office of Veterans Services, and our Blue and Gold Star Families to ensure that the Office of the Lieutenant Governor provides the support and honor that our military members and their families need and deserve. We do this through the continued support of the Rhode Island Military Relief Fund, the Garden of Heroes, Operation Holiday Cheer, and through raising support and awareness around initiatives that affect our active duty, veterans, and blue and gold star families such as the Gold Star Families Memorial Monument.
